I feel that it is too early to be writing about myself and the accomplishments I have experienced so far, but if you are curious enough to read this I’d like to share with you how I came to be here today.
I was born and raised in Caracas, Venezuela during a time when the country was going through deep changes. These changes brought an end to a great era in my countries history and my mom decided to drag my brother and me to San Jose, California, which in retrospect, I am grateful for today.
Feeling as an outsider, I found my release in the crazy adventure of filmmaking. Through my education and dedication I can now bring my thoughts and passion to video. I believe it is the best decision that I have ever made, and it has become the reason I wake up each morning.
My studies began at De Anza college before finishing my degree in Cinema at San Francisco State University. Both during school and continuing through today I have pursued countless and tireless hands-on experiences that have created the foundation for my career.
I have had the great opportunity of sharing ideas and experiences with these talented artists along the way: Canserbero, Lil Supa, DJ Trece, Los Rakas, Claudio Napolitano, Marcus Cheek, Cristobal Valecillos, Miguel Ferrer, and many more.
My story is far from over and….
My hope is that this website will show you that my passion and dedication can help you achieve your project goals when we work together as a team.
Behind the Scenes
The above video was recorded while I was shooting a short documentary titled "Harvesting Hope" in the city of Oxnard. I was chosen for a grant to document the life of a migrant teenage farm worker as part of the campaign for the movie "Cesar's Last Fast" by Richard Ray Perez.
